Statement of Purpose

May 2023 (amendment 2, 2 May 2023, original issue June 2021)

(a) To represent the interests of residents, business operators and other community
members, all of whom share a desire to improve

• local and state planning laws
• codes and regulations
• guidelines
• other state laws and local government law and policies.

To protect and enhance the quality, amenities and environment in and around the
Whitehorse Council wards of Terrara (east of Springvale Road), Mahoneys (east of
Springvale Road), Walker, and Simpson, and the Maroondah Council wards of Wonga,
Jubilee, and Wombolana being the areas around Heatherdale Road in the municipalities
of Maroondah and Whitehorse.

(b) To consult and lobby all levels of government and related government
instrumentalities and community organisations in pursuit of the stated aims.

(c) To engage and secure the support of individuals, other like-minded associations,
and legal counsel, where appropriate, in pursuit of the stated aims.

(d) To inform and engage with the community of identified HCAG issues and actions
taken to improve the livability and address the quality, amenities and environment in
and around their area.
